    john deere won't start
John Deere X304 starts but almost immediately cuts off as if it ran out of gas I changed the fuel filter but results are the same. Problem started after I ran out of gas and refilled the tank with newly purchased gas.

    Hi,
You have probably sucked trash from the bottom of the tank up to the end of the pickup tube in the tank. The line is removable by easing it and the grommet out. You must remove the operator deck (fenders and seat) first. There will be two bolts under the seat and two nuts under and beneath the front to remove. 10 mm in size. Remove gas cap and get assistance to lift off.
    Peace,
    Clarke
