    2004 ford taurus makes gurgling sound through air cleaner
    2004 with the 3.0 vulcan motor, makes sort of a gurgling sound or something like a muffled microwave popcorn sound, doesn't seem to effect the way it runs, just would like to know what causes it and if it's a problem

    Some noise will be inherent with the engine running. Your engine is literally gulping air while it runs.
    The best way to be certain is to compare to a similar vehicle.
