    How do I retrieve an ip address
    Can't get on internet went to start entered cmd then ipconfig
    This is what came up how do ireset ip address?
    Windows ip configuration
    Ethernet adapter wireless connection:
    Media state.. . : media disconnected

    This means the ethernet cable (looks like a telephone line) is NOT connected, or damaged in such a way to stop data flow.

    The more information that you give the better able we are to assist with your issue.

    Last time I checked Wireless doesn't have cables.

    Ipconfig /release and ipconfig/ renew may work

    Net start "wireless zero configuration" may work and so will re-booting.
