    In Alberta Canada can a teacher be charged for kissing a 15 yr old student 3 times
    Can someone in a teaching position be charged for kissing a willing 15 yr old student, and texting the student as well

    I believe so. Canadian law says the age of consent is 16. An adult having a relationship with a minor, especially when that adult is in a position of influence over the minor as a teacher would be, is what statutory rape laws were made for.

    Yes, it's illegal under the Teaching Profession Act and the case has been intensively covered by the media.

    There were other charges, as well.

    Why do you ask? If you are aware of the case you should be aware of the circumstances and charges.
