    Dear atlanta Tax expert,

We filed (Married joint file) 2009 tax returns and got the refund from IRS. We did not claim the Making work pay tax credit of $ 800 for married couples. I check in the "Did I Receive a 2009 Economic Recovery Payment?" and it says I did not recive the 2009 Economic Recovery payment. Can I do it now and get the reimbursement. Please let know.

    Thank you,
    Mallik.

    Malik:

You need to amend the 2009 return using Form 1040X to claim the $800 Making Work Pay Credit.

Contact me at [email protected] if you want help to do this.
