    Cloudy water
We have had a private well for 12 years now. We have a water sotener on the system due to hard water.
Within the last month our water has not been clear. It has a light brown color to it. No change in taste, just color.
I have put a sample in a clear glass and let it sit for weeks, and nothing settles to the bottom. It remains the same color.
I am not sure what's going on. I have spoken to other people in the area and they have'nt notice any issues with their water.

I would advice having your water tested. Because no one else has a problem, or noticed anything different with their water, doesn't mean yours is okay. We used to have our well water tested on a regular basis,( because we had several livestock and horses and a constant supply of manure in the barnyard),in the UP (Michigan), by the MNR. There is a minimal charge now, but no charge when I was having it done.

It is on both hot and cold.
I had a local well guy come by last week and get a sample. Im waiting on his results.
I was also planning on sending a sample this coming week to get a more in depth analysis as well.
