1928 White Rotary sewing machine, looking for advice on how to clean/restore?
I would like advice on restoring a 1928 (I think) White Rotary sewing machine in original Martha Washington Model cabinet. Not interested in it's worth, would like to keep for personal use. The cabinet is scratched, nicked, and worn. The machine is black with a layer of black crud on it, the hand wheel is rusty and so are some of the other chrome parts. Also some of the hinges are missing or damaged and I'm just not sure what chemicals to use on the cabinet and machine to clean it up.
