    B&S fuel pipe elbow
I'm trying to replace the nylon fuel pipe elbow on a Briggs & Stratton 287707 engine. When the old one comes off the carb, there's a brass nipple that remains on the carb, and I haven't been able to remove it. The insert that came with the new elbow says I am to put the nipple in a vise and use 2 screwdrivers to pry the nipple off - they're assuming that the carb is off the motor. Is there any way to remove it without pulling the carb? The elbow is Craftsman PN 492790. Thanks!
