    The stairclimber going to make my hips big
    I was talking to a sale guys at my gym the other day who tells me if I do too much stair-climber that will make my hips bigger?is this true? Also I want to slim down my waist what's the best way? I used to work for a gym for a few years and was very in tune with it but as the years have past on and its seems allot has change from what to eat what not to eat and how much is too much etc. I would love to get a trainer but at my gym it will cost me more than @ grand for the year. I love using the stair-climber its an amazing feeling when I am done with it? How about the fish oil pills any good> I know I kn ow I am full of qs today? I am just so motivated again thanks guys

    What was his rationale for the machine making your hips bigger? The stairclimber will make your butt look better and since it's cardio and getting your HR up you should lose weight (unless your diet is crazy). I really can not think of how/why a stairclimber would make your hip area bigger. Best way to slim down? Cardio. You have to burn more calories throughout the day than you are consuming so when you add cardio to your schedule it burns calories therefore the pounds should begin to slip away if done on a regular basis. You can also do workouts for your abdomen area to strengthen the muscles in that area. Also, weight training is good for weight loss: you burn less doing the activity itself compared to cardio but when you do weight training your muscles will also continue to burn calories later on when you are resting. My guess it that you're a woman and if you're wondering: NO - you will not become bulky from weight training. It's not typical for women to do that; in fact, women who are big and bulky want that and strive for it - it will not happen on "accident".

    Fish oil - of course it's good for you and has many benefits (as do all vitamin supplements) - fish oil is best known for its benefit for the heart; however, there have been recent studies that say it can help in weight regulation (reduces cravings caused by fatty foods.) Hopefully you're at least taking a multi-vitamin now - everyone should.

    The stair climber will build the muscle in your hips and legs... Which is GREAT!! :)

    If your diet is 3/4 fruits and veggies and out of that 3/4 is veggies you will lose weight fast without feeling like your dying... Ah hum... I mean... Dieting...

    When you lift heavy weights, it will grow muscle... Feminine muscle because you're a girl...

    Muscle weighs more then fat per volume of space...

    So it takes 4 pounds of muscle to take up the space of 1 pound of fat!

    So... you can see how easy, and unnoticeable it would be to gain 10 pounds of muscle...

    Muscle burns 50 calories per day per pound...

    It takes 3,500 cals to lose one pound of fat..

    10 pounds of muscle burns 3,500 calories every week! (50 x 10 x 7 days = 3,500)

    Instant metabolism...

    Stair climber = Burning Cals on hyper mode!

    Thanks again jeff... my new fitness hero, well I always been at 12 percent body fat sports my whole life and gym rat all my life but in the past two yrs I got sick but I am better now but I gained the lovely lbs and for some reason everything I knew I had forgotten even my confidence at the gym has left.I am intimidated to use the free weights when I never was I need to stop crying and focus now thank you again:p;)

    Try the four fitness classes I recommend...

    They are structured extremely well...

    1. Total body boot camp
    2. Yoga
    3. Palates
    4. Spinning
