    Kitkat,

How wonderful! This seems like a great recipe for French onion soup, with pictures and all! Will try very soon.

The challenge is to calculate measures for two servings, since I've just read a great book by Julia Child's editor called The Pleaures of Cooking for One.

For reasons too complicated to get into now, I'm on my own and want to cook great food to look forward to at the end of the day.

    Thanks!

Sorry Sally, I can't help. My favorite french onion soup recipe comes frozen, four per box. It's really good. :)

Oh, yum! My favorite soup, I may have to go make some now.

    Simple actually...

Slice an onion or two (depending on how much onion you like in your soup)
Sauté onion in butter until soft
For 2 servings use 2 cans of beef broth
Add onions and a dash of Worcestershire Sauce

I place croûtons in the bottom of my bowls then pour soup on, place swiss cheese on top of bowl and broil for a minute or two!

    Hello Sally:

So, cook a normal batch. Enjoy a bowl! Put the rest in serving sized plastic containers and freeze 'em.
