How do I find out if my teenager got emancipated in Washington?
I recently moved to California from Washington due to domestic problems. My oldest son is visually impaired and attends a school for the blind there, in order for him to remain at his school he must be a resident so I allowed him to stay there. Especially since he is only home on the weekends. My question is this, can he get emancipated without my knowledge. I'm sure my ex(who refused to move so me and my 4 children had a place to live) has also assigned herself his payee through SSI without my knowledge even though his money was direct deposited into a bank account for him. How can I find out?

How old is he? Also its not likely he got emancipated unless he has reached the age of majority. Otherwise he would have to be living on his own and provide for himself and have a track record of doing so. Then go to court to be declared emancipated.
