Neighbor dog chewing on my wood siding
I think I know what he can do to prevent it (cheap fence), but why would a 5 pound cute little mutt chew on the wood?

My neighbor came over to let us know that he has to replace the side of our house, because of his dog. We have zero lot line, so we never see that part of the house.

It's a little tiny dog, looks like a long haired Jack Russel and something else.

Are there bugs he wants? Is he just destructive? They also have a another mini dog that does not do this.

Any suggestions on why or a better suggestion after they replace the wood to prevent it?

    Thanks:)

Some dogs just LOVE chewing wood, there might not be anything there, he just likes chewing it.

My puppy goes crazy for wooden clothes pegs, if he fins one that has fallen off the clothes line he's in heaven!
He also loves chewing the corners of my $750 pine coffee table

To deter him you can use things like dog repellent sprays or even a little chili powder on the wood, but the problem there is it washes away as soon as it rains.

Hopefully your neighbor gets that fence up soon!
