    You go down to your county clerk's office and check the records for a lien. Why would you think you have a judgement? Did you get a summons at some point?

    One easy way is to go to a title company and order what is called where I come from a "litigation report". It's cheaper than a title policy because it isn't insurance. But, unless you're an expert, it's more dependable than doing your own title search.
