What can I do if my next door naghbor who use to be my best friend is now herassing me. I have called the cops twice and they just went over there to talk to her and that's it. She is fallowing me to the pool and making up stories and telling others lies about me and trying to turn people against me. She yells at me not to cut branches that are hanging in my yard, she has a 22 month old doughter who use to play with my two year old. The cops told me that if there was one more call that they were going to hall one of us away and it also could have been me and they threten to take my child away as well. Hopefully someone has a awnser to me or even a sugestion... I do have something I am using as a recorder every time I leave the house.

Using a recorder without the other person's knowledge is a crime in some states.

The police officers have violated your rights, you need to make another call to the police supervior or even chief of police in smaller towns.

And the recorder, use it when the police are there also.

Next do what you have to do, and have witnesses.

1. merely yelling at you from her yard is not illegal, she can yell all she wants nothing you can do about it. Unless it is late at night and distrubing the peace

2. her lying, normally little you can do on it either
