Gain on Foreign Exchange rate (need to file?)
    Hello,

Does anyone know how to file gain on foreign exchange rate?
I was wondering if I need to include it under Capital gain(D).

Also, where do I include gain on State tax return (CA)?

    Thanks for your advice.

Did you do trading in currency? If yes, report on schedule D (Form 1040).

Im in CA and the schedule D on the fed will flow through the CA adjustment form. There is no schedule D on a CA return.
