    Hampton Bay receiver intallation
    I have a Hampton Bay Ceiling fan and I can't find a spot to place the receiver for the remote. I am thinking of just having it rest on the ceiling next to the junction box, will this work? Or should I try something else. The box claims the receiver will fit in to the upper area but there is no chance it is going to. Thanks.

    Do you have a light kit on this fan? Usually the receiver fits in there, tightly.

    Believe the box, it is very tight but they know their product and it will fit. Try rotating 180 degrees from what you are trying or flip over completely. It belongs inside the canopy

    Poor manual documentation. The receiver fits inside the ceiling mounting plate upside down. You have to tuck the white and red wires up into the ceiling box. You can then fit the receiver in and all the wiring for the fan motor and lighting under and around the base.
