I have been best friends with him for little over a year. From the beginning he's been, gay but not a total flamer or whatever, and that was why it was so easy to hang out with him. Never having to worry about your basic girl/guy best friend relationship. I never thought it would end up like this... the point where we are both sort of questioning his... orientation. It's more him questioning. I try to convince myself that he is only attracted to the idea of a normal relationship but sometimes it seems different. Like he has actual regrets about who he is and because of me wants to change it. I would never want to change him. That's selfish. But he has told me that he doesn't know for sure anymore. Day after day we get comments like 'you would make such a cute couple.' I just want to know, is it possible that after you finally accept yourself as gay, could you realize you can be happy with a woman? Just... how do I know?

I think he is years off from figuring himself out, but for now, forget romance, and stay friends. You will both be happier that way, and there will be no confusion or drama.

Most gay guys I know, have been married, and have kids. That's not unusual, and I know many who are still in the closet, but date straight females.

Every one on earth is unique in some way, in the way they think or act, gay or not. That's cool, but never think of changing who someone is, that never works, but its difficult, and hardly unusual for a young person to be finding his way through things.
