Thanks Fred and you are a very good friend. We all need to love each other as God loves us. I think you are a true child of God. We don't agree on things but we're both seeking same thing. I don't think it's going to be too much longer until he comes back. Goodnight!

He'll put and end to wars, murder, rapes and all the other terrible things we humans do to each other.

True, but sometimes I believe that christians leave a bad impression on some people like my mom. It was not coming from me, but one of my friends back in elementary school died of cancer and her parents told my mom (non believer) that they were meant to be and God put them together. After my friend died they got divorced and within a few months the wife remarried. I mean she looks at them like it is a sham and christians are a sham.

PS: she is buddhist

Ifeel that god doesn't want me, I'm a new christian, and was bathtised a month ago. But the things I did before... I don't feel god will forgive. I cursed his name, and rejected him, I committed every sin and more. And now that I search for him, and as much as I do, as much as I study go to church, pray, help others come to love my god, jesus my lord and saviour, I feel deep inside that he has forsaken me and, looks down on me,is ashamed to have me speak his name,, I don't know if it's the enemy, if I'm under spiritual attack... but I want god everywhere, in my school in my life, in my family, and in my heaart... but I don't think god wants to be in mine.

I grew up in a Christian home. I do believe God is real and he is part of my everyday life. But what if I stopped believing in God during my teen years because what proof did He give me that he is there for me? I love my parents and I do struggle with them emotionally because my mom is not a christian but a buddhist. My parents have hurt me emotionally and sent me to a counsel to 'resolve my issues'. But what if God forgot about me and just have given me a horrible life on purpose? I use to pray all the time and was actually a God fearing woman down to having sexual integrity and never abused my body in anyway. I feel like he misplaced me in a society with a family that expects too much and too little in certain areas. My roles as a daughter, sister, and student is strained. My parents and I have recently stopped fighting for the past few years, but I feel like what does God have to do with any of this? Why has he stopped controlling my life to a point he let me get hurt?

God chastises those He loves. You are being given a great gift if you look at it the right way.

Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Remember that God permitted His Son to suffer on the Cross:
1 Peter 2:21
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

Be of good cheer, your suffering proves that you are one of the elect:
Hebrews 12:8
8But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Hazeldell, I am so sorry to hear that you feel this way. There is nothing in your past that God will not accept. He created us the way He did for His own reasons. He knows human nature and tendencies, yet He still loves us. If I were bold enough to even attempt to say what God is thinking, I would say that He is most proud of you.

Are you worse than Paul was? He hunted the earliest Christians down and killed them, and believed he was doing a good thing. He called himself the chief of sinners. If God could forgive him, He can certainly forgive you. As long as you're breathing, forgiveness is there. But here's the key:

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW YOU FEEL.

Feelings are the world's worst criterion of truth. They're very real, but they tell you nothing at all about God or his will or his attitude or anything else. Feelings change. That feeling in your gut could be God or it could be some bad sushi. If you rely on feelings your life is going to be the most terrifying roller-coaster you could imagine in your worst nightmare. If you hold on to the FACT that God's word says you're forgiven and accepted, you have a solid anchor to hang on to when those feelings start trying to throw you every which way. Stand on His word and those other things won't knock you down, or if they do, you won't be down for long.
