    Water leaking into house through the ceiling
    Hi
    Just a question there are black looking stains in three straight lines in the ceiling outside on the patio looks like they are following beams the stains rub off easily could this be water leaking through or just moisture from the recent rain

    Sounds like water leaking through. You need to trace the source of the water intrusion and patch it. Any dark stains means water from the outside.

    Sounds like u have a water leak. That must be corrected.

    The black marks could be mold. Need to clean with a 20% solution of bleach and water.

    Use rubber gloves and resperator when doing this work. Wash clothes right after u finish work.
