Why do my ceramic tiles in the kitchen feel warm?
I've never noticed it before (because I always wear shoes or slippers), but the ceramic tiles next to the half bath felt warm when I walked on them with only socks on. Could this indicate a problem under the tiles? The tiles are also next to the garage door and my washing machine is in the garage on the other side of the wall. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

What's underneath the floor? Our main level carpet has warm spots when the recessed lights in the basement are being used.

Thanks for responding. I'm in California and we don't have basements. I'm not sure what's under there. I believe we're on slabs. Do u think it could be the water heater pipes?

It sounds like your hot water lines are under the slab in that area, I have two spots in my house one is close to the kitchen and one in the laundry room.

To make sure that you have no water leak under the slab, check all faucets that they are closed and go the watermeter see that the red triangle indicator is not moving see the image below, if it is moving then it tells you that you have a water leak under the slab, if no movement then you don't worry it is the hot water line under the slab at that area, good luck.
