My friend violated probation what is meant by a sanctioned sentence of 30 days
My friend violated her probation by not reporting to her parole officer an address change and was sentenced by a judge to a sanctioned jail term of 30 days. Does this mean she has to spend 30 days in jail? This seems like a lot for simply not reporting an address change. She also has to spend 60 days minimum in a rehabilitaion facility that is described more like a jail than rehab. Why so tough on her and can anything be done to resind or reduce the sentence?

    Hello d:

30 days for a technical violation is NOT out of line.
