I was reading an article about the Civil War . Gettysburg, Pennsylvania was the site of a battle that turrned the tide. One of the focal points of the conflict was a little hill called, Little Round Top. . Had the confererate troops gotten past Colonel Jousha Chamberlains men a lot of historians think the Union would have surrendered, possibly losing the war. "The 20 Maine" was the last line of defense.

Christians today are also in a war. We battle Satan. We are to put on the whole armour of God and stand firm. We have a long line of defense that is greater than any human force. That force is God's love and nothing can separate us from that. Remember , "We are more than conquerors. Christ lives within us. Just like those soldiers, we are armed by a great defense. God bless You!

We all tend to stray away from faith at one point or another. I had a knockdown dragout with God a few weeks ago. I just kept asking "how could you let this happen? why me? I dont deserve this" The important thing to remember is that life is all about trials and tribulations. Tests if you will. I realized I am failing at certain tests because I keep donng the same thing. Have you ever heard of the saying, "new level, new devil"? Once you pass one test you are presented with another one. It never ends for a christian, at least I haven't seen an end. Its what keeps us strong. Ask for disernment. God will never forsake his children although it may look that way. Its spiritual warfare.

Ok enough preaching I just read your post and though I would speak my peace if it made any sense. Take care!

We are God's people. If we have trusted Jesus as our personal Saviour, He will not forsake us , even when we fail him. There is a price we pay for our sin and we pay that price right here on earth.

He knows we are sinful and weak. He knew that before he called us. The assurance of our salvation rest not in ourselves, but in God. This doesn't mean we have a free ticket to sin, we don't. We are held accountable for these sins. Blessings:)

Keep praying and asking God to lead and guide you. God doesn't make us do anything, he gives a free will. He has the power to make us do what he wants us to do but that is why Jesus died on the cross so we would have free choice and forgiveness.

Now Satan is different, he's sly and cunning and he presents himself in a form of things that entice us. He doesn't have the power that God has. He cannot make us do anything, so he tempts us showing us the beautiful side of sin. It is up to us to know the difference.

I do not give Satan the credit when I do wrong I had a choice. He couldn't force me to do anything. Giving him credit only makes him stronger in your life. Thank God for choices and may God Bless you.:)

I mean I was blessed by God to come to America (I am actually from Asian descent). God has given me a lot, but I feel like He has given me a lot of drama. If I don't blame God (who sees, hears and knows everything that goes on) then who should I blame when sometimes the worst things that happen to me is not my fault. I don't know what plan he has for me...
Lea – it is understandable for you to think this way because everyone at some point crosses this road. I have been in the same situations in life as you so I feel that I can relate to your story. My parents split when I was young and there was a lot of abuse and alcoholism in my home. When I left home I did so in spite and carried a lot of anger with me for many years. I became a Christian about 9 years ago and began to come to terms with my life. Was God good for allowing me to experience the things I did? Did he have the right to let evil happen to me at such a young age? Those were questions that I wrestled with as you do too.

When I think about the life of Jesus Christ, he too, experienced tremendous suffering and pain in this life. God had allowed Jesus to endure these trials…he appointed these trials for him specifically. The torture and punishment he endured is far more radical than most of us ever endure in this life but the point is that Jesus was not above suffering. Is the servant greater than the master? Should we live a life of complete blessedness without trials? The apostle Paul said that it has been appointed to us to not only believe in the name of Jesus, but to suffer for his name sake. Jesus also said that in this world we will have tribulations... but he has overcome the world.

Suffering is a part of the Christian life because through suffering we mature in our faith. We mature in our perspective of who God is and what is important to him. I argue that if it were not for suffering, we would all remain foolish and immature. Suffering has a very powerful way of drawing us closer to God and it makes us more compassionate towards others. Both of these qualities are things that God desires in us and it is through suffering that God matures our faith. Not only that but suffering is a grace that teaches us that we truly belong to God. When our faith is tested and we remain steadfast in our commitment to God, we come to learn that we are really serious about following God. We learn that God is working something marvelous in us when we are beaten up by life but remain committed to the Lord. It is only through these trials that this reality becomes evident in our lives.

This is a trial for you and it will sort you out. What sort of person are you? Do you love God or do you hate him? Even though he sleighs you, will you still serve him? These are questions that will be answered in time but these are questions that this trial is forcing you to answer for yourself. I pray that you remain committed to God because I know that you are in God's classroom right now and your life is the lesson.

    - FIRST - God does not control anybodies life and why would you want God to control your life?

    - SECOND - Having a relationship with God means trusting him in your life. It means continuing a relationship with him always. Through Good times and bad times.

    - THIRD - Honestly in the scheme of things you can try to be everyone to everybody but your only burning yourself out, it has nothing to do with God, but has to do with more your own personal decisions in life and with your relationships.

    Jesushelper76,
Yes, it is the person who is in control of he/her life not God.
    But...
A person can live a life trying to live according to the will of God.
Such a life has divine purpose and is very fulfilling spiritually which adds strength as time goes on.
The more we work our faith and desire to please God the stronger we become.
    Thanks,
    Peace and kindness,
    Fred

    lostgirl17,
Yes, all Christians need and should demonstrate they are Christians by living a Christian life hard as it may sometimes be.
As Jesus tells us that we are the light of the world and to let our light shine with the good that we do and to give the glory to God.

God never leaves us, we leave him but he is still there. I shudder to think of all the dangers and trial I have gone through in my life and how he brought me through those. Most of the times I didn't even thank .
He still loves me. And he loves you!

I just received an email and though I would share part of it with you all.

THE POWER OF PRAYER. I believe that God only gives three answers to prayer:
    >
    >1.Yes!
    >
    >2.Not yet.
    >
    >3.I have something better in mind.
    >
    >God still sits on the throne, the Devil is a liar.
    >
    >You maybe going through a tough time right now but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that you cannot imagine.
    >
    >My instructions were to pick four people that I wanted God to bless, and I picked you.
    >
    >Please pass this to at least four people you want to be blessed and a copy back to me.
    >
    >This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards.
    >
    >Let's continue to pray for one another. Here is the prayer:
    >
    >Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and email buddies reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power.
    >
    >Amen.
    >
    >I know I picked more than four, so can you.

I feel happy sometimes and I feel sad at times. I usually am not scared of anything and I don't let things move me. I do feel like God does still inspire me and I want to be able to work in a hospital as a volunteer doctor for the Peace Corp someday. I mean I see now he has blessed me with brains in science and he can give me something to use my talents for.
