This question may be better suited under software or " one confussed idividual"
Sorry if this should be under software but its not just one of the software having the issue unless it is my os. So here it is, I come home from work one day to find that no matter what you try to open ( ex, Firefox, notepad, maleware bytes.) The open with file locater comes up asking you which program would you like to open it with the same three chooses every time which as adobie 8.8 malewarebytes, windows meeting space. Oh yes and if I opened malewarebyets then try to choose it to open with nothing happens. Sorry its early and if anymore info is needed I apologized and will really appreciate any and all advice.

Something has likely happened to your file type association with .lnk (or "link") files.

Check out this answer from Microsoft: Restoring .lnk file associations

    That should help you out.
