    How soon can you get divorce after you get your green card
    My husband is very bad manners taubt me every time I fade up with him I want to divorce to him but I have just only green card after divorce I have to back my country india? Please tell me I got my green card 8 march 2010.

    Marriage counseling is always a good start.

    If you truly cannot reconcile the marriage because of his bad manners and you can prove up the bona fides of the marriage, you can divorce and if you are a conditional resident, file to remove the conditions based on bona fide marriage.

    If you are have unconditional permanent residence, you don't need to file anything, although you will need to wait 4 years 9 months to apply for citizenship. Good luck.
