    How long would one usually spend in jail when violating felony probation?
    My boyfriend has been on Felony probation since mid-2008 (sentenced to serve 3 years on fel. Probation) and was recently picked up because of a warrant issued for failure to appear to probation officer. My question is how long would one expect to serve IN jail for their FIRST violation of probation in California.

    Yes I do. It's only a technical violation. He didn't commit another felony.
