    What is a mortgage tax reimbursement

    Depends on who the reimbursment came from. If it came from your mortgage company then most likely you over paid on your taxes. Now it has been recalculated and they gave back the extra. Most time when homes change hands they guess what the tax is going to be and go from there in the payment structure.
