    We have just installed the RTH7600 it's working fine, but I don't understand the Cool setting - for example, I have the temperature set at 68F and the cool temperature shows 82F is that right or should I lower the 82F to 71F or won't it make any difference as we do not have air conditioning.

    Cool setting only works if you have air conditioning. You needed a heat only thermostat... which could have saved you a bit of money.

I currently have a Honeywell T841A1217 and want to install an RTH7600. The wiring labels are different. T841A1217 has W2,X,O,E,G,Y,R. The RTH7600 has C,G,Y,O/B,RC,R,AUX,E,L. The RTH7600 also has C,G,Y,W,RC,R,W2,Y2. I have a 2.5 ton Carrier Heat Pump.

I have a honeywell RTH7600 thermostat. The inside temperature on the termostat says it is 4 degrees higher than the room actually is. It says it is 78 degrees and it is actually 74 degrees. Is there a way to calibrate the thermostat to show the true temperature?
