    Clogged toilet supply line
    Our toilet supply line is clogged with either air or debris. The air would come from having the entire forced hot water heating system turned off yesterday three times. All the other spouts in the house work after much sputtering and belching of air. The debris in the supply line to the toilet would come from the public water company laying new water supply pipes outside our house and hooking us up to them yesterday.
    Our toilet tank is empty and therefore we cannot flush the toilet. We checked the float and there was no visible debris. We turned off the water valve at the bottom of the toilet, unhooked the water supply hose, turned the water back on, and there was not a drop coming from the supply.
    How can this be fixed?

    Im hoping the blockage is in the water valve at under the toilet. Shut main water off to house, them remove the shut of valve under the toilet. Have some one slowly turn the main water back on while you watch to see if you have water supplying the shut off valve. If you do, you can clean or replace the shut of valve. Good luck and let us know what you find.

    I agree with MGD. Just one more thing. Have a pan under angle valve and hold a towel in front( not against pipe) to keep from getting drenched when wqter comes out.

    I agree with MGD that you may vave debris in angle valve,you don't need to remove the angle valve, shut main the water valve, open the angle valve all the way out (counter Clockwise), open the packing nut remove the stem assembly see the image below, now have a towel or a pan under the angle valve, let some one open the main water valve and see if you have full flow, if you have good flow, assemble the angle valve.

    You will also need to flush your fill valve, I am assuming you have a fluid mater fill valve, see the next image will show step by step, close the angle valve to remove the cap, put your hand on top of the fill valve open the angle valve for a few seconds to flush out any debris out of the fill valve, good luck.
