I am in the planning stages of having a Heil H9mvx 95% 80,000BTU two stage variable speed furnace installed in my 1300 square foot home. Will also be installing a H4A8 two stage 16 SEER condensing unit with matching coil. Is this much oversized for the climate in SC?

I believe your furnace is way oversized for 1300 sq ft probably the same for the A/C but this is all guess work without a manual J being done on your home for an exact size. Look at the item below and let it be your guide for your purchase. Two estimates minimum and three is better.
