My puppy's poo is normal when I am around but when left a lone he has lots of blood
I have a 9 week old puppy that has normal poo when I am around but when left alone(usually at night) there is a lot of blood, sometimes even clots in with his poo but then returns to normal when I'm around again. Is this some form of anxiety? But surely he can't make himself bleed? He has no temperature or other signs of being unwell.

Could be a couple different things but you need to get the puppy to a vet quickly

Yup blood in the stool is never a good sign, why risk it? Take him to the vet. If you can't afford it, then call your vet, try and set up a payment plan. When was the last time they were to the vet? IS the pup all up to date on vaccines?

Sounds like stress. You should go to the vet for a check up just to be sure there is nothing brewing in the pups body

Hes had his first set of injections. The blood wasn't there today at all but his behaviour changed quite dramtically tonight.Hes usually very calm, affectionate and loving, always submissive but tonight he started really trying to bite us all and not doing as he's told (which he usually does) running manically around the room.So I think with as these together I will take him staight to the vet first thing in the morning to be on the safe side.Thankyou for all your comments, very helpful.

Vet has no worries, said he's perfectly healthy.
Behaviour was normal the next day ,think he must have just got overexcited. No more blood in poo,Started leaving my coat on the floor for him (so he had my smell) when I left the room and it hasn't happened since.I'm guessing he just wound himself up so much about being left alone, that it affected his stomach.Thankyou all for you help, luckily it was just one of those things.x
