    Do I need to close my bank accounts when I file bankruptcy
    Im filing bk this week and I keep money in my checking acc to cover my bills. Do I need to take it all out? I have direct debit bills so what do I do

    Sounds like you are filing this yourself. There is no reason for you to close your present bank account just because you are filing bankruptcy.

    No, in fact you don't want to, since it may be hard to open one afterwards.

    You are allowed certain funds
