    Is it a good time to file I-485?
    Hi, dear Expert:
    Thanks for answer my questions and offer help*_*
    Now, I have face the music again:(
    Our I-140 has approved, so it is time for us to hand
    In the application of I-485, however, I do not know
    What is my status, because my application from F1-H4
    Is in the process. So far I did not get my H4 status,
    I need you, could u give me some advices about it?
    Do I need to wait until my H4 or I can file the application
    Of I-485 right now as my F1 status.

    You can file your 485 as long as you are in valid immigration status. If you are an F-1 with a pending COS to H-4, you are in status as a pending COS. Please confirm that you can file the 485 as there is a backlog for many visa preferences. Good luck.
