    We need many more details before any of the builders willtackle this. None of us use tree trunks as foundation supports. Where are you and what building code do you have to follow?

    We're thinking about using hemlock tree trunks for posts. I guess I just need an estimate in terms of support. So assuming we're using sonotubes. What is the typical spacing for posts?

    " There is no typical spacing, it is based on the sizing and spacing of your main beam and joists.
