    Betrayed by my dad
    For the first 30 years of my life me and my dad where very close. He was everything to me, even when I moved far away he was still a big part of my life. Then six years ago he met a woman with 2 daughters close to my age. I have been pushed out of his life completely. I did not care for this woman when I first met her and the 2 times I have seen her since my dislike grew, however I tried to be very nice to her because I wanted my Dad to be happy. This year things escalated. My dad came out to see me in May and apparently the two daughters of this woman told him not too! Then today I was informed by my Mom, who is close to my dads friends that my Dad is getting married in two weeks. They are getting married because the whole family is going to be there.
    The whole family? I guess my Dad does not consider me family anymore. No one has called me not even my brother, who I thought was my best friend. I could have flown there had they told me. Now I am so angry and hurt I don't want to talk to anyone in my family again.:( :confused: :mad: :(
    Any suggestions on to handle this situation. Should I call My Dad? I think he should call me if he cared.

    Yes, call your dad and get information straight from him. Let him know how you feel but bear in mind that not liking his finace and her daughters really puts him in a bind so tread lightly there. Stick to talking about you and him as much as possible. If necessary, listen to the Judd's song about "Love Can Build A Bridge" before you call. Be generous with your love to him.
