    Credit card debt
    Anyone have advice for credit card debt. I'm disabled and my husband died so my income is only ss. I cannot pay my credit card bills which are 20,000+ I don't want to lose my home I etalked to 2 attorneys but I still have no resolve.I can't do debt management as I can't pay the phone calls are coming and I can't keep my nerves straight

    If you are on ss and that is your only income then even if the cc companys take you to court and get a judgement they will not be able to garnish your ss check, BUT if you own property they could put a lien on the property. You said you talked to two attorneys what did they tell you? Is bankruptcy an option for you?

    First what happened to get the 20,000 in credit card bills, was husband making a large income ? If inhis name were any of them insured against his death ?

    If you can't pay, you just don't pay, if the calls bother you, write them and tell them not to call you again
