    What is the deadline for prop tax deduction
    My 2nd installment property taxes were paid in January 2010 for 2009 can I deduct this amount on my 2009 statement.

    Negative.

    99.9% of all taxpayers are on the cash-basis form of accounting, and under that accounting form, you deduct expenses and declare income when you pay the expenses or get the income.

    You will deduct the 2nd installment on your 2010 tax return.
