    How to choice nonresident treated as resident while filing electronically
    How do we make the choice to be considered nonresident treated as resident while filing electronically? The instructions are to attach a statement to the paper forms but we are filing electronically.

    You CANNOT file electronically, because the statement to which you refer IS required and MUST be signed.

    Hence, the tax return MUST be mailed.
