    Hounds may be a little more smelly than other dogs. Still you should be able to keep him fairly fresh with regular brushing with a soft bristled brush. . Make sure he is in good health, including clean ears. One other problem is rolling in stinky stuff. Sometimes you have to clean up their relief area to keep them from rolling in their own feces.
