What are my rights as the mom and how much rights would the father have??
My Ex and I were never married we were together for 9 1/2 years, when I gave him the news that we were having a baby, he didn't want me to have my baby. On my b-day he gave me money not to have him so I left him because he made me pick him or the baby. He didn't want to hear from me and now 6months later he wants my baby, and he's having another baby with his new girl friend. And I have been taking care of my baby by myself he keeps telling me that he's going to take me to court and take my baby!! Can he do that? What are my rights has the mommy!!

I'm sorry to hear that. My own advice would be to seek legal advice.

First what country do you live in, Iran, Mexio, Canada, US, we are an international web site so the rights of a father in Israel is a lot different than those in Iran and a lot differnet than in the US.

In the US ( it can even depend on what state)

But in general, in the US, he can ask for custody, but will not get full unless he could prove you unfit. He would have a good chance to get joint custody, and shave raising the child, ( unless you can prove him unfit)
But most likely he will ask for and get visitation of the chlid, The amount will depend on what you can he can agree on.

Don't worry about him taking the baby away from you unless he can prove you to be unfit. However, he is the father so he will have rights just like you. He will have visitation and probably joint legal custody. The amount of visitation will depend on a lot of things including how far apart the two of you live.
