    Hair color help
Help! Recently my hairdresser talked me into going with a much darker color (an auburnish brown, I'm naturally a dark blonde) saying it would be healthier for my hair. She said that my hair was breaking due to the constant bleaching and occasional flat ironing. I think its really from the brazilian straightening treatment but that's a whole separate topic. I hated the hair color. She added a few blonde highlights but now the base color has faded to a very brassy orangish color. Now I have 3 different color roots and my ends are shot. Oh, and I'm pretty sure the breakage is from her redoing my highlights every time rather than just touching up my roots also. I need to fix this color but I'm not sure what color I can do that won't kill my hair. I'm sick of it looking so unhealthy all the time. Please help.

It doesn't make sense that she said dying your hair a different color would be "healthier". Dying is damaging to the hair. Since you are unhappy with your current hair color, try to dye it back to your natural shade. You should invest in some hair repair treatments and shampoos and conditioners like these. You should stop applying heat to your hair and dying your hair at this point for a bit. Once you start taking care of your hair [depending on your hair type] you could try using Morrocan Argan Tree Oil in your hair. It will make it shiny and is actually supposed to be healthy for your hair. Just don't use or do anything damaging to your hair. It's easy to damage your hair, but harder to help it once it is-- so just think of how better it will be after you take care of it. Plus, if you redye back to your original natural hair color then you can work from there and use that color to take care of your hair without having to keep dying it. Just look into repair serums and get a trim to treat any split ends!

    GOOD LUCK!
