    Thepurplemm-YOU have a 1935F series $1.00 silver certificate
A {STAR] just before the serial number. What does this mean?? (ANSWER)-#1-THE 1935F silver certificate you have the Signatures are PRIEST AND ANDERSON THE values for this note {AS PER CONDITION AND GRADE}BOOK SHOWS -VF-20 {means -VERY FINE GRADE 20}-$3.00 AND in unc-63[ means Uncirculated grade 63} UNC -63 -$12.50{NOW}for the one you have with the {STAR}just before the serial number;;{ IN VF-20-With a STAR- $5.00][ UNC with star- $17.50 } NOTE- NOW A LITTLE HISTORY ON COINS-{ Years ago they used the stars around the edges of paper money ,as a decoration, then in first part of 1900 they started using the( star)on paper money to show that the note is a replacement note for one that was damaged while being printed, they take the damaged note and list it in a record book ,then put it in the furnace and is burned and then a nother note is made in its place [ just like the one that was damaged ,except it has the STAR just before the SERIAL NUMBER::"" YOU will find this in every DENOMINATION;; NOTE THESE ARE A SEPERAT COLLECTION FROM THE NORMAL COIN COLLECTING : There IS QUIT A FEW COLLECTERS THAT COLLECT THESE ALSIO THE NOTES WITH A STAR IS CALLED A STAR NOTE;; I hope that I have ANSWERED your questions OK IF not just come back to this post and holler;; Have a great day tomorrow, and GOD BLESS::
