On my computer this screen popped up and it said it was ready to install Purityscan wich I had no intention of installing. Sure it might be a good program, then again it might not be for the simple fact is that somehow it or something put a reg key on my computer. Normally I would know what it's from and just get rid of it, problem being is that I haven't DL'd anything on this PC.

So my question is can a scanner that (suppositly) gets rid of hidden porn of computer be trusted not that I want the dumb thing on my PC in the first place.
Anyway I get rid of the reg key and anything else (using Ad-Aware & Spybot) but the damm thing just keeps popping up on my PC ready to be installed.

So what else could I do? I have use Hijackthis as well and it don't do jack either

Try this, (purity scan)its spyware/adware of course, just its disguised as a seemingly good thing to use.

Simple rule: If you didn't ask for it to be downloaded, there's no way you should install it. It will be spyware, a virus etc.

wel with all the help you guys have given me... you must think what the heck is this guy doing... ROOOKIE! Or w/e lol

No just really slow stupid computers and I am too broke to get new ones =P

but anyway if it weren't for ou guys and this very helpful forum, I would have taken a bat to these dam things a lot sooner lol... rather then fix them ;)

Sure no problem, if it asks to be installed, not downloaded it may already be on the computer. But no don't take a bat to it just yet :D

PurityScan is Advertising ware.

It is supposed to remove porn advertising ware, but according to the above site, doesn't do it. It adds more advertising files and registry entries.

Please try all the following to get rid of it, and I have also suggested ways to run these scans:

If you think you already have Spyware/Advertising Ware in your computer, run these as follows:

Download: SpyBot Search & Destroy; 1.3
(If you use the Spyware Blaster free program, then don't set SpyBot to the Immunization feature)

AdAware at:

Download: AdAware_SE

CWShredder at:
http://www.intermute.com/products/cwshredder.html
(CWShredder is intended only for removal of CoolWebSearch files; placed as spyware on the harddrive). It is not a "stand alone" scan, but needs to be run. Download the free version by clicking on "Download stand alone version of CW Shredder".

All 3 of the above programs run better and much faster when run in SafeMode.

To get into SafeMode:
Re-boot the computer, and immediately after starting up, Press and hold down, F8, at top of keypad.
When the options show on the screen, use the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard to select
"Safe Mode".
Press Enter

It's best to run the AdAware scan first; 3 times; then re-boot.
Then, run the AdAware scan again 3 times; then run the SpyBot. Then, run CWShredder.
Re- Boot.
Reason for running so many times:
Some of these trojans' files can be deleted the first time; leaving some others; but on re-boot, they re-write the files that were deleted.
Running multiple times deletes most of it the first
Time.

If you wish to have a great program, after you clean out Spyware/Advertising Ware:

The Spyware Blaster is the best I have found for keeping stuff out of the computer; it stops it before it can get in.
