Eletric gas pilot furnace help
Im converting my lennox furnace from lp gas back to natural gas. The electronic pilot will not light.. It runs the cycle... igniter gets red hot , gas comes out but won't ignite. It will light if I put a match to it. I replaced the complete assembly but still won't light??

Sounds like maybe the gas pressure needs adjusted

I adjusted the pilot flame from low to higher flame but still have to light with a match. It won't ignite from electric igniter. Do you mean the pressure in the gas valve? I replaced the spring in the gas valve, not sure how to adjust the pressure in the valve.

If the pilot flame is good and not burning too hard as in too much pilot gas pressure and there are no air currents pulling gas away from ignitor, maybe the ignitor is getting weak?

I installed a complete new assembly which included the igniter. That is my thought too.. seems like the glow seems somewhat weak. I have tried with the assy in place with all the covers on to prevent drafts... no go... while the assy is outside of the furnace even tried putting a tin can over the assy to see if it would fire but no go.. By the way.. thanks for your help. I have been burning wood but doesn't keep the house warm!

What voltage powers the ignitor,24v or 120v..?. check voltage to ignitor, if nomal then maybe new ignitor bad? If the pilot flame appears good when lit with another heat source then it has to be with the ignitor or the placement of the ignitor,,

It is 24v but I will have to check to make sure it is getting 24v.. the old igniter did the same thing that's why I got a new one, but they are acting the same way. I'll check the voltage out tommarrow,
