Problems with ignition on Heil Furnaces
Having igniting problem. Just had a new gas valve(SV9500M 2682) installed, as old unit was not allowing gas flow to burners. However, now the pilot seems to fire randomly with different burner responses. I watch and see the burner in random order try to ignite all 4 tubes, but it seems like some attempts the # 1 will "lite" but no other, then the second attempt the 3rd and 4th burners will light... 3 attempt might have all 4, but it seems like gas is not traveling conssitantly through grey tube... service man had heard of this trouble, but alias I'm the first time that he's run into this trouble.

Any solutions, as repair will call Heil, but looking for some answers?

Clean the burners especially the flame jumper area. Reinstall the burners and make sure the flame jumper areas all aligned with each other. Make sure the gas pressure is set to the factory specifications as listed on the furnace I. D. Tag that is attached to every furnace manufactured. Heil does not have any problems in this area unless burner parts are worn from use or installed improperly so if the service person said he heard of this he is probably covering his inability to repair the furnace properly and using (I heard of this before) as an excuse.
