    As an ex con, what help is available to me as a first time home buyer
    I am an ex con in the state of Oregon. I am looking to poss. Buy a home or property to build a home. Can anyone direct me to any programs that are avail. To me that might help me in doing so?

    Your best source of info is a mortgage broker in your area. I am not aware of any special programs that enable "ex cons" to purchase property.

    There are no special programs for merely being in prison, unless your local area has one to help with transition.

    I know you have to work on that credit score. It will help with the responsibility aspect of getting a mortgage.
