    1996 honda civic lx
    Can I perform a "leak down test" myself or do I have to take it to shop?and does it cost anything to have it done?

    You can buy the equipment and run the test yourself; otherwise, they charge.

    If you do not have a good cylinder leak down tester,'It may me cheaper to take it and have it done.
