This guy and I sort of had a thing not too long ago and then he reandomly stopped talking to me. We sometimes would talk every month or so and then I started dating one of his friends and he talks to him often so we sometimes talk. He was throwing things at me in a class and when I asked why he was doing it he just fingered me. What is his deal?

He is probably angry at himself. If he was aware that you had a thing for him, and he didn't reciprocate, he is showing his anger, and feeling of betrayal (by his friend).

I'd say he probably did had feelings for you, or you wouldn't be seeing him do the things he's doing. Not to mention he's a bit immature. Likely regrets and not taking some initiative before you fell for his friend, and likely a bit too overconfident in himself, mixed with a little jealousy.

He'll get over it. In the meanwhile, don't give him any reaction when he tosses stuff at you, not even a blink.

Okay so this guy and I had a thing awhile back, you could call it "wheeling" like most other teens my age do. Then he stopped talking to me for the longest time and I was trying to get over him. I dated one of his aquaintences for a while and three days after we broke up he texts me. I couldn't believe my eyes. The only thing is he only really did it for a "favor". I don't want to do it and I am going to tell him that but I don't want to lose him again, that'll just break my heart. Is he using me, or is he trying to just be "cool"? What is going on? =S

What do you mean a favor? Like sexual? I would just be mean to him lol JK. But I mean ask around to people who know him to find out what he has been doing with people and girls... then you will have your answer
