1989 honda ignition switch
We have a 1989 Honda Accord EXi Coupe, The ignition in cold weather won't release the key, but after a while (up to a 1/2 hour, we can remove the key). Also now the car starts fine, but when the key is released, the engine shuts off. This has gone on for a week. Today the car started and ran, then later on in the day, we had to hold onto the key to keep it running.

1998 honda civic.. all of a sudden died and lost all electrical except horn, headlights and brake lights, radio... no dash lights or click when turning key.. nothing. Jumper wire running from fuse box arced when removing and everything died at that point. Totally lost
I have a 95 Honda Civic DX 1.5 liter, 5-speed. The ignition switch went out so I bought a new one and replaced it. I pulled the old harness off the old switch and put the new one on. I just left the switch in the floorboard to make sure it was going to work... Sure enough she fired up and ran...
I need instructions for replacing a 91 Honda Civic ignition "lock" switch. I have to replace the whole unti not just the tumblers. Thanks.
