    I was told ALL a/c engine are made by the same factory

    I was told,. tHE engine is the same in ALL a/c unit?. made by ( forgot the name ) meaning the part in for example Amana or Trane is the same?

    Not really. There are many different manufactures of compressors and some brands actually use 2 or 3 different compressor manufactures for there different units.
