We have no water pressure since replacing our whole house water filter
We have city water. There is a whole house water filter that needed to be replaced in a home we just purchased. We purchased a typical cylcindrical filter at home depot. First we turned the water off for the entire house and turned on a faucet to relieve some pressure. There was still a decent amount of water which came out when we used the wrench to open the casing. Once the water stopped, we replaced the filter and screwed everythign back in. When we turned the water back on to the house and then turned the faucets on, it seemed there was air in the pipes and there is virutually no water pressure upstairs. What can we do to fix this? We had perfect pressure before removing the filter. The home was built in 1963 and we have copper pipes.

Whole house water filter causing low pressure
We just replaced the filter on a whole house water filter and when we turn the water back on, the filter is making a hissing noise, like air is getting in and then the water pressure drops, on this part I'm guessing because there is air in the pipes. It seems the air is coming from water filter, how do we fix this?

    Hi Calsully...

Are you still havingthe issue? If so, check the aerators in the faucets and clean them. Run the water without aerators in place for a few minutes and that should restore full flow.

    Let me know more, OK?
